"You will find some of the most wonderful members of the Church in Cambodia.” (President Dallin H. Oaks, first counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints)
President and Sister Lewis also provided their personal comments:
“From the moment that we learned about our assignment to Cambodia, we have been excited. We appreciate the efforts of the members to support the missionaries and to build the kingdom of God. We are eager to join the Saints in inviting the people of Cambodia to learn about our loving Heavenly Father and his Son, our Savior Jesus Christ.” (President John Lewis)
“We are thrilled with the privilege to serve in Cambodia. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude for the Saints and their sacrifices. While we are not skilled with the language, we have come to appreciate that it is a beautiful language! We will do our best to communicate our love in spoken word and from the heart.” (Sister LaCinda Lewis)
