The Good Shepherd Sisters of Thailand is a non-profit organization established in 1965. Its focus is mainly directed to women and girls who are most deprived and in need, regardless of their church affiliation or national origin. LDS Charities, the humanitarian arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, makes a monthly donation of rice and ramen noodles to the Good Shepherd Sisters of Thailand to be given to those in need.
Sister Louise Horgan from Ireland is leading the Good Shepherd Sisters in Bangkok and has been for the past 53 years. She has warmly welcomed the donations and association from Elder and Sister Larsen of LDS Charities. The Larsens serve as humanitarian volunteers inThailand. As a worldwide organization they offer assistance to Sister Louise and oher organizations.
